BBQ Pulled Por

Ingredients:
4-5 lb. pork shoulder
1 can of pop
barbecue sauce
soft sandwich buns

Cooking Directions:
Place the pork shoulder and a can of pop in the crock pot on low for 8-10 hours*  until fork tender.  Remove pork from crock pot and let stand for 10 minutes.  Shred the pork with 2 forks and serve on buns with barbecue sauce.

*Time will depend on the size of the pork shoulder.  The time required is roughly 2 hours per pound.
 
Tip:
To save time, the pork shoulder can also be cooked on high for 4-5 hours.

Alternative recipes:
Fill split top hot dogs buns with the bbq pulled pork and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the sandwiches in the oven at 350 F until the cheese melts.

 

Or add a little southern flavor by topping the pulled pork with coleslaw.
