Duckhorn Vineyards' seven meticulously farmed estate vineyards, located throughout the various microclimates of the Napa Valley, are an essential element in making wines of the highest quality. Firelands was the pioneer in establishing European Vinifera grape varieties in the East. Introducing these vines, and subsequently new wines, to the area has only added to Firelands gaining a distinctive reputation as a premier winery. Wines that make the J. Lohr Cuvée designation are produced in extremely small quantities, and represent an artistic approach to winemaking using similar blending philosophies practiced by the Grand Cru Chateaux from Pauillac, St. Emilion and Pomerol. Their Cuvée PAU is a blend of at least 50% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance of the grapes made up of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Malbec. Cuvée St. E is produced from over 50% Cabernet Franc, with the remainder comprised of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot. Lastly the Cuvée POM is a blend of over 50% Merlot with the balance derived from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot. Each of these wines competes with the most expensive wines produced in Bordeaux and California.

The state-of-the-art Mezzacorona wineries and the expertise of over 100 years of winemaking tradition preserve the typical Trentino elegance and crispiness of the solid and consistent wines.

Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay are dominant in the Trentino region. These varietals are well-known for their floral tones, exotic fruit, ripe aromas and silky smoothness on the palate. Mezzacorona is the largest Italian estate producer of these two varietals. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon also have a long history in the region. They are vinified in such a way that the varietals’ flavour of berries, black fruit, chocolate and toasted almonds are preserved.
