In  2007 Columbus Food & Wine Affair Wine Competition, a total of 150 gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded in a variety of categories. A newer category includes the "value" level. Criteria in this level states that each entry must cost under $15 based on Frontline Ohio Retail and that those receiving medals must score higher than the average score for their category.
